Report: Ministry to relaunch plan for business climate improvement

MOSCOW, Jun 4 (PRIME) -- The Economic Development Ministry has prepared a new set of measures to improve Russia’s business climate, RBC reported on Monday citing federal officials.

The program will be called Transformation of Business Climate and will comprise 14 directions including protection of property rights, taxes, human capital and labor efficiency, entrepreneur activity, urban development, territorial planning, customs and international trade, exports, and improvement of corporate governance.

One of the sources compared the new program with the National Entrepreneurship Initiative adopted in 2012 and posing similar goals, many of which were implemented.

The ministry plans to submit the program to the government until the middle of August after discussing it with other authorities.

“More than 500 initiatives have been collected, they will be discussed with all interested parties,” a spokesperson for the ministry said.
